EU-Vietnam, the path towards sustainable economic development and close cooperation
7 years after the entry into force of the Paris Agreement (4/11/2016) and 19 years after the signing of the Kyoto Protocol (16/2/2005).
In Hanoi, in 2014, during my visit to my father’s office, who was the General Director of a public company in the environmental sector in the city of Hanoi, I saw him in his office with a European investor exchanging chemical formulas related to waste treatment technology on a whiteboard, without translators. The two business leaders did not speak English or any other common language, but they were able to achieve the same final results on the whiteboard. That day made me understand that business opportunities, technology, knowledge, and motivation have no borders.
